A New Beginning

A New Beginning is an immersive narrative adventure set ten years after the Mariana dam collapse, known as Brazil’s worst environmental disaster, which left deep scars on both the land and its inhabitants. Players take on the role of Gabe, a young researcher who reluctantly returns to their hometown to investigate an alarming spike in skin rashes and lesions within the community. While exploring the village, Gabe must navigate personal tensions, reconnect with family and old acquaintances, and unravel a mystery that may be tied to the lasting impacts of the environmental tragedy.

By interacting with locals, analyzing environmental samples, and connecting the clues, players will uncover buried secrets, corruption, and a past that refuses to stay in the past. Blending exploration, investigative gameplay, and emotional storytelling, A New Beginning dives deep into the aftermath of the disaster while challenging players to face the weight of their choices.
